Online LOI Submission Instructions
The Fuller Foundation makes grants twice a year, in the Spring and in the Fall. The foundation considers organizations using a two-step review process. The 2-page Letter of Inquiry is an open process. Organizations whose LOI has been approved by the trustees will then be invited to submit a full proposal.
LOIs are accepted during two windows, however, an organization may only apply once per year.
Prior to submitting an LOI through the Fuller Foundation’s online grants system, applicants need to complete a one-time registration. You will need to supply your contact information and create a password to log in to the system. The foundation prefers that the primary contact person complete the registration. If you have not yet submitted an online application through the GMA Foundations portal, you may register at any time.
If your organization has moved to a new location since creating your log-in, or undergoes a change of address during the grantmaking cycle you have submitted for, please update the portal accordingly or contact foundation staff.
After you log in, enter the access code “fullerloi” in the box labeled “Access Code.” Then click the “Fuller Foundation” apply button to start your new LOI. Be sure to keep the password you will create where you or others in your organization can find it again for future use. If you have previously registered and submitted an online application to any GMA-affiliated foundation, use the same username and password – but be sure to enter the access code, “fullerloi” ” for this submission.
Important: If you want to exit your LOI before it is complete, click on “Save as Draft” at the bottom of the screen. You can then come back later and continue to work on your application by signing in with your password and clicking “edit” your draft. There is also a “print packet” button if you wish to create a printable document for internal review. When your LOI is complete click the “submit” button. A new screen will then appear confirming receipt of your LOI.
All Letters of Intent must be received by midnight on the day of the deadline – however, technical support is only available until 4pm.
If a deadline falls on a weekend or holiday, LOIs will be due on the first business day following the deadline date.
If you have any questions about your organization’s eligibility, please contact the foundation for guidance before submitting. Should you require assistance with the online LOI submission, please contact Jenna McCarthy at jmccarthy@gmafoundations.com. Please do not send any items separately by email or mail.
We will notify you if your organization is selected to submit a full proposal.
